Wind Turbine Spin Doctors

Wind Turbine Spin Doctors

Dr. Arlene King, the province's chief medical officer of health wrote a report on wind turbines released last May that concluded "the scientific evidence available to date does not demonstrate a direct causal link between wind turbine noise and adverse health effects."

(Note: so does this mean there are indirect links, such as smoking and second hand smoke ?)

Yesterday Energy Minister Brad Duguid said he's got to rely on the advice of Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Arlene King, when it comes to the health effects of wind farms.

"She says there is no credible evidence to suggest that there are health impacts as a result of wind turbines."

(Which statement is true, the doctors or the Ministers ? We ignored second hand smoke for years, even though the doctors knew there was a link. If something is wrong, it will still be wrong, no matter how hard they try to convince us that there is no link between Industiral Wind Turbines and adverse health effects. )
