Possible long term solution?

The Great Lakes has wind that is stronger and more consistent than wind over land. If placed far enough from the shorelines, hundreds of turbines could be installed. Countries in Europe, after learning from their mistakes and the negative impacts of on-shore wind turbines, are now placing their wind turbines in the North Sea.
